10:20 Memory and Memento in Jewelry. Dr Iris Fishof, curator, lecturer in the department of History and Philosophy, Shenkar.  Jewelry is memories and there are those who believe that every piece of jewelry is loaded with memory and are mementos. Others create jewelry inspired by memories.

10:30 Historical Israeli souvenirs. Gil Fanto, conservator of Israeli nostalgia. Personal items kept for years by people are handed to Gil for safekeeping in his display space of Israeliana.  He will tell about the items he has received and the stories behind them.

11:10 Life tattoos- tattooing as a rite of passage. Yasmine Bergner, multimedia artist, spiritual guide using tattoos, researcher.  A tattoo as an everlasting skin reminder of values important to us.  The firm connection between an external value (symbol) and the internal value that it represents, through the intimacy of the skin makes it an unforgettable lesson of ongoing powerful mental work.

11:30 An Absent Present. Ronit Mirsky, artist, graduate of the Royal College of Art, London. What are the elements that connect the abstract concept of memory and its translation into the physical? By examining the difference between language and material, personal and collective social, it is possible to investigate the representation of memory and how it is designed visually.

11:45 Blue Love. Sharon Rashbam Prop, artist, writer. “When love transforms to longing, it is colored blue”. In her book “Time forgot” the artist deals with childhood, growing up and old age on the kibbutz through paintings and texts.  In the lecture she will read short texts from her book that relate to her drawings, memories and longing.
