Shirly Bar Amotz creates contemporary jewelry with a narrative that relates to the reality that surrounds us. She combines worlds of traditional jewelry craft and contemporary technology and materials. In her lecture she will focus on work processes that move between the need to express an idea and the desire for material expression.
Shirly Bar Amotz -Jeweler and senior lecturer at jewelry and fashion department, Bezalel. Winner of the The Andy Prize for Contemporary Crafts, and Ministry of Science, Culture and Sport Award for Design.
Control and Release
Elizabeth Cohen creates tactile ceramic objects that have strong colors and surprising textures. In her works she combines the ongoing play between control and random. In the meeting she will demonstrate some of her work techniques and talk about the search between the whole when combining material color and texture.
Elizabeth Cohen – ceramic artist, teacher at The Kay College for Visual Arts, lives and creates in Beer Sheva.
