What is your story? Thoughts and questions about the history of Israeli Ceramic Art

Lecturer: Shlomit Bauman

The lecture will deal with aspects and characteristics of the unique historical origin of local ceramic art in an attempt to evaluate the development of the medium within the complexity of historical conflict, art and design politics and the question of gender and identity.  Ceramics is more popular than ever in the field of art and design, so how did it lose the battle as a discipline with a unique language? 

Shlomit Bauman is a ceramic artist, design researcher, senior lecturer in the Industrial Design Department HIT, the head curator of the Benyamini Center Gallery

Participation: 40 NIS ($12.50) / 30 NIS for Benyamini students- advance registration required
