The exhibition by Jacaranda Kori, Becoming Plastic: From Nature to Waste, is an installation of 27 ceramic objects suspended from the ceiling, between heaven and earth, ceiling and floor, giving a sense of floating or the possibility of looking at the hovering objects from an underwater viewpoint, enabling a disengagement from the existential and mundane, for the sake of focusing on the understanding of human existence.  The installation engages with the dystopic processes that the planet is experiencing in the Anthropocene. The fountains in the exhibition by Alon Gil are in dialog with this tradition, but they are all made from ceramic which allows for colorful and unique glazes.  In the works there is a combination of several ceramic traditions and skills including large wheel thrown pots, massive and masculine expressed in the feminine water receptacle as well as the tradition of porcelain miniatures that appear at the top of the fountain. In this exhibition, Reveal, Karelic shows two series, one of self-portraits made several years ago and never exhibited. The second series are three dimensional amorphic bodies where the removal of clay create a layered topography covering the entire surface. Read more
