Why Clay?

I don’t really know. It seems I got to it by chance, in a group activity I took part in during my biology studies. At the beginning I was attracted to working on the wheel and through it I got to know clay. Later I discovered the molds and was fascinated by their quality to create multiples. Clay is very intuitive and carries many possibilities. Above all I like the ease in which it allows me to join and combine parts.

What do I want to convey?

Myself, what else?

What characterizes my work process?

Constant search and experimentation; a sort of wandering; not very focused way of working and many trails in parallel. The studio is an extension of my mind and through it are strewn all kinds of musings I have… sometimes I succeed in collecting them into more cohesive works.

My tools of choice… Can’t create without them:

Today less, but in the past: a flat knife for mold making

Absolutely necessary in my working environment:

Space, walls, light
