Nerikome is a contemporary Japanese word for working with colored clays.
The workshop will focus on hand building combining different colored clays. Participants will learn to arrange the clay in various ways to achieve different results and experiment with colored clays at all stages of the work process including wedging, layering, hand building, drying, and finishing the surface with suitable glazes.
Hand building or wheel throwing experience required.
