Name of the work: “LuminEra”
The project started as a research project. The first study was about ceramic printing technology and how to use a combination of porcelain and technology that allowed a material of interest in light transmission.
Therefore, the project was divided into two parts, the first was a practical study that examined how changes in the thickness and opacity affect its transparency and at the same time a historical overview of significant points in the porcelain’s timeline.
Each fixture in the series representing a technological interpretation of a different basic Chinese vase. The interpretation is created through the translation of the characteristics of the vase in the porcelain print and the encounter with the light.
