The course will focus on improving technical skills on the wheel, developing ideas, and creating a personal style. We will consider form, volume and composition as well as color and surface as a meaningful way to express an idea. In the first semester we will focus on gaining technical control of basic wheel thrown forms. In the second semester we will challenge ourselves in creating a complex form that is exuberant, rich, daring and thought provoking.
Extensive wheel throwing experience required.
