Drawing from my background as a geologist, I use nature and geology as an inspiration to condense wide landscapes into pseudo-natural topographies and intimate terrain. Through objects and installations of landscapes, I try to explore issues of physical and mental displacement and disbelonging, a subject matter that become more present in my work when I used to live at the U.S. In my current work I focus on the process of making ceramic art, as a way of communication and as a platform for a dialog through my hands and other artist’s hands. Hands that are working with clay, that have an intimacy with that medium and that share the same language with each other.
