Deborah Schwartzkopf, born in Seattle, USA, earned a BA degree from the University of Alaska and an MFA from Penn State. She is well known for her wide range of functional tableware combining wheel thrown and unique hand built components. Her work is found in many local and international collections. As a studio potter her goal is to make fabulous tableware that ‘infuses life with purposeful beauty’.  She has taught workshops and master classes extensively throughout the US and abroad and upon her return to Seattle in 2013 found ‘Rat City Studios’, a large community studio where she realizes alongside her independent work, her skills as a teacher and facilitator for the young artists who gather around her, connecting people and communities through the love of clay. Deb is currently establishing another community studio in Seattle while continuing to create and teach. During her presentation she will talk about her work, the story behind the unique studio she established… and much more.

Participation: 40 NIS ($12.50) / 30 NIS for Benyamini students- advance registration required
