Shlomit Bauman is a ceramic artist who deals with research aspects of the field of ceramic design, drawing inspiration from cultural questions, technology tradition and design.
Bauman refers to ceramic design as a field in cultural research and examines its methods in a broad context of material culture. Her work includes a comprehensive field of activity, that combines art, research, curatorial and education to understand matter and material culture as a way of life. Over the years, Bauman initiated projects and exhibitions to promote a complex discussion within the ceramic field itself and the craft, design and art fields that surround it.
