Ilan Meyer started to study ceramics with Yehudit and Isachar Benyamini in 1978 and quickly formed a long-lasting moving relationship with them. His ceramic studies did not progress much, and he never pursued it since then.  He now lives in Los Angeles and is a researcher in public health at the Williams Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law.
