During my work as an archaeologist which required research and scientific reports on ancient glass and ceramics, I began to study pottery in order to have a better understanding of the medium. I studied with the wonderful artist and teacher, Sara Ben Yosef and fell in love with the material. This lead me to study ceramics at Bezalel and subsequently open my studio in 1996.

My work combines sculptural objects with functional vessels searching for the fine line between them.  The forms are inspired by nature, especially the ocean and the sea creatures as well as functional day to day objects characteristic of mass consumption.  The works are made from paper porcelain constructed by hand using slabs and casting and fired to a high temperature.
