Gardiner Ceramics Museum in Toronto 2017

The Benyamini directors were awarded a scholarship by the LIAEP foundation for a study – research program at the Gardiner Ceramics Museum in Toronto.  This is a unique museum with collections of European porcelain as well as ceramics from the Far East and contemporary Canadian and international ceramic artists.

This opportunity facilitated meetings with the heads of the museum departments including: exhibitions and curating, fundraising, special events, education and community, marketing and communications, volunteers, library and archives.  This meaningful event will certainly contribute to the planning and development of the Benyamini Center in the future.

In addition, in conjunction with Fusion, the Ontario Clay and Glass Association, we presented the Benyamini Center and contemporary Israeli ceramics at the Harbourfront Center, a multi discipline art center in Toronto.

The tour concluded with a visit to the Craft Biennale in Burlington and conference on contemporary craft.
