Daniel Clayman / April 2014

Daniel Clayman is a unique glass artist from America, specializing in monumental cast glass objects – characterized by their minimalist geometry.  His work is architectural and focuses on  mass, volume and material in space.  He manages to capture in his work the essence of glass. The transference of light through a skin of glass is central to his work and the simple forms together with the complex technique give his work a dramatic and powerful presence. These effects originate in his first experiences as a stage and lighting designer.

Besides the glass casting workshop, Daniel Clayman will lecture on his work on Tuesday 1.4.14 at 17:00.  The lecture is open to the public.

Daniel Clayman is in Israel with the generous  support of AIDA.
