      The exhibition summarizes 3 decades of work and new work that was made specifically for Fix ‘n’ Gyro.  In addition, a book of her work will be launched on the opening night. Hadas Rosenberg-Nir is one of the leading ceramic artists in Israel, with a unique language and a broad oeuvre of work. For this she is recognized in both the art and the ceramic world. In her work there is an inherent dialogue between art and ceramics, creating a welcome collision and fusing of concepts making an outstanding complex, poetical and political statement.

      The exhibition, Type of a Dialogue shows the intergenerational dialogue between mother and daughter through clay, each one bearing a personal material statement that expresses a life story, emigration, locality and belonging. Since the death of Charag Zuntz, Michal Alon continue to tell the story of her mother and to document her works.  Alon continues to create, teaching and showing her work in Israel and abroad.

      The Diploma Program at the Benyamini Center enables beginners and experienced students to begin a new career, to investigate and broaden their practical and theoretical knowledge of ceramics and become teachers or makers.  The graduates of 2019 are three women from different professional backgrounds who chose ceramics as a starting point for a new path after three years of studying courses and workshops in different areas of this broad field. The exhibition is the conclusion of a year’s work focusing on a subject that they selected as their project.
