At the beginning of November the Benyamini Center for Contemporary Ceramics will once again hold the exhibition sale ‘Collect / Israeli Ceramics’ 2021 and will show an excellent selection of works by Israeli artists, potters and designers.

The exhibition sale that was held in 2019 was remarkable in the number of visitors, the interest in the work and the sales made.  The event attracted the general public including collectors and curators who were guided through the broad variety of works and received explanations by the artists and the Benyamini team.  The works were exhibited in groups that created a fresh dialog between the different approaches to clay: functional works such as cups, jugs and bowls alongside figurative sculpture and abstract objects and wall works varying from small intimate items to large wall installations.

The works in Collect/Israeli Ceramics 2021 will reflect the high standard of the ceramic field in Israel made by artists that are graduates of art academies, design faculties and active artists that have showed work in Israel and abroad for many years.

As a result of the exhibition held in 2019, we are witnessing the beginning of new collections of ceramic art and design as well as additions to more established and fascinating collections of ceramics. The Benyamini Center views this as an important step towards establishing the value of ceramics in the art and design scene in Israel.

In the last decade since the Benyamini Center opened in 2011 we have worked to promote ceramics on various levels: The Benyamini Ceramic Art School including the Diploma Program, a professional library, and the establishment of the Israeli Ceramic Archives, as well as changing exhibitions, gallery talks, educational programs, symposia and an international residency program.  The exhibition Collect/Israeli Ceramics 2021 is another contribution to the numerous activities of the center, and we invite visitors to join us in an exceptional and fascinating clay experience.  The exhibition will continue for three days in all the gallery spaces at the center and will offer a joint dialog between collectors, art lovers, and ceramic artists.
