Nerikome is a contemporary Japanese word for a technique using colored ceramic clays which create effects in the clay body. We will learn to arrange the layers of clay in different ways to repeat successful patterns. Students will learn all stages in the making process including wedging, layering, hand building methods, wheel throwing, drying and finishing the surface.
