Jewelry is a broad and varied field; we will become acquainted with this field using clay and its advantages. Students will make jewelry using different techniques with an emphasis on composition, 2D and 3D, cutting and joining, texturing and combining materials while considering the piece in relation to the body. We will explore jewelry from different cultures, examining materials, design, and complete the work with appropriate finishes and fastenings.
