The Benyamini School of Ceramic Art, in collaboration with the Benyamini Gallery, offers professional local artists and designers from all fields the opportunity to participate in the Local Artist Residency Program.
The residency lasts between 3–6 weeks and is intended for the creation of an artwork, a research project, or a ceramic-based body of work. It is designed for applicants wishing to deepen their knowledge, expand their practice in ceramic materials, and engage in a cross-disciplinary and material-based dialogue.
Participants receive dedicated professional guidance throughout all stages of working with clay, leading up to the realization of the project they propose. Outstanding works, as well as processes of artistic value, may be exhibited at the Benyamini Gallery at the curators’ discretion. During the residency, interaction develops between the participating artists, the students and the young artists working at the center.
Each residency cycle includes an artist talk and/or a master class given by the participating artists.
