Name of the work: “At Stake”
i The permanent, stable wall falls apart and transforms. Its disintegration undermines the order and rituals to which we have grown accustomed. The tableware, the space, the diners – all in turn respond to change. The international disruption of a standard meal challenges our perceptions about the event, time and space. Slowly, all parts of the meal take on new forms, introducing questions concerning the value of the meal ritual: is it a remnant of an era that has lost its value? Can it withstand the test of time?
