An introduction to clay and its characteristics including various hand building techniques: pinching, coiling, slabs and press molding. Students will create forms and learn about surface, texture, color and glaze and be guided with personal expression and creativity. The classes will cover theoretical aspects, work by ceramic artists as well as other sources of inspiration and content.
