In the workshop we will focus on improving technical skills on the wheel emphasizing form and new scale. We will experiment with different decorating techniques and explore the relationship between form, color, texture and surface. Students will move from functional to sculptural and express their style from idea to reality.  The workshop will include demos, personal guidance and practical work.

Noa Almagor Ben Dor

Cutting wheel thrown forms and rejoining them enables breaking traditional symmetry and allows for recreating familiar vessels. In the workshop we will experiment with different cutting techniques: wire, knife, tearing, as well as planned and random joining at various stages in the making. Students will use forms made on the wheel and add slab-built forms.
