Advanced wheel throwing | Amnon Amos
Advanced Wheel Throwing and Hand Building | Wheel hand wheel
Wheel throwing makes vessels around a central axis whereas hand building allows unrestricted movement and exact geometry – a combination of the two increases variety and freedom. The aim of the course is to explore greater technical and conceptual freedom through the combination of the techniques. The exercises will require exact wheel thrown forms that will be distorted and the addition of hand-built elements and texture.
Wheel throwing and hand building experience required

A tribute to an artist is an accepted creative action which allows for research, learning and extending a makers practice from the familiar. In the workshop we will focus on ceramic artists examining concept, technique, color and biography. The participants will make work inspired by an artist expanding their use of materials, forms, surface and color palette.
Experience in hand building or wheel throwing required.
